Happy birthday to me ...

After all these years, I still don't like having my birthday on January, 2. As a kid, I always got one big present for Christmas, New Year and my birthday :-s And no, I still don't like one big present. The weather's either too cold or too wet. Most of the times I get my birthday wishes on New Year or not at all, because they forget it with all those parties.

I always joke that I want to celebrate my birthday later in the year. Part of me does on March, 19, the little one's birthday. It marks the beginning of being a mama and somehow counting those years sound a whole lot better. I would love to celebrate my birthday just once in a warm place, with all my loved ones, good food, a glass of champagne and lots of sunshine.

So that's why I'm posting one of my favourite pics of me in better times (much younger and pre-mama LOL). It was taken on a warm day on holiday in Spain at the botanical garden in Blanes, such an amazing spot. When it rains today, I will think of that place and imagine myself there with the little one in a few months time :-) Sounds good, right? That and a glass of champagne :-)
